June 22nd, 23rd, & 24th, Tucson, AZ

 June 22nd, 23rd, & 24th, Tucson, AZ Woke up early June 22nd, and headed to Tucson via the western side of the Grand Canyon.  Also did a stop in Williams, Sedona, and Phoenix. Major goals of visiting Tucson was to catch up with old friends and to visit the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and the University of Arizona. June 20th &21st, Desert View Grand Canyon East

 June 20th &21st, Desert View Grand Canyon East We reserved a campsite at Desert View campground for two nights.  It was a boondock with no water or electric hookup.  No problem as my 400 watt solar panels and extra water tank did fine.  The weather was very nice with a balmy 90C in the shade with a nice breeze. June 19th Homolovi State Park, AZ

 June 19th Homolovi State Park, AZ Left Bluewater Lake State Park after a liesurely morning and drove to Winslow,AZ for a light lunch and the obligatory photo op Standing On The Corner. June 18th Bluewater Lake New Mexico

 June 18th Bluewater Lake New Mexico: Pinon Cliffs Campground Great campsite overlooking Bluewater lake about 200 feet below us.  Day time temperatures in the 90's but the nighttime temperatures dip to around 60. Easy drive west down I-25 too I-40. June 16th & 17th Santa Fe New Mexico

 June 16th & 17th Santa Fe New Mexico Headed out from Eagles Nest Lake State Park Santa Fe Skies RV Park in Santa Fe. As I mentioned in the previous post we did stop in Taos for some shop scouting.  In Santa Fe we had a great camping spot at Santa Fe Skies and although the weather was hot there was a pleasant view. On the 17th we traveled to Bandelier National Monument and toured the visitor center and walked a trail to some cliff houses.   Our route from Eagles Nest through Taos too Santa Fe Skies At Santa Fe Skies they had an interesting exhibit of old machines which thrilled all the little kids in the park and also this mechanical engineer! After Bandelier we continued our day drive to Los Alamos to visit Elaine's former co-worker at Clark University Library, Mott Linn.  We had a nice time catching up with Mott and a nice dinner at the local golf course restauran...
